This week’s SMS pick was chosen by THE Melissa Murphy!! Because I was a nerd and didn’t check the pantry before I started baking, I ended up using macadamia nuts (yummy!). I’m sure the toasted almonds make these cookies outstanding, but the macadamia nuts took these over the top… sweet, but with that little hint of salt. SO delicious!!
Melissa graciously posted the recipe on SMS’s home page, so check it out! And don’t forget to take a look at all the other fabulous cookies here!

Ooh, I bet the macadamia nuts were delicious. I wish I had used salted nuts, I thought the cookies needed a little more flavor. They were tasty, just not my favorite ccc.

Macadamia nuts sound so yummy! What a great improvision…I was surprised at how different almonds taste after baking them in the oven. A pleasant surprise but now, because I love macadamia nuts, I want to try the recipe again!

Hi Jessica!
Love how your cookies came out- it’s too funny how the exact same recipe can come out looking so different from baker to baker. Yours look deliciously thick and chewy, while mine had a bit more spread. Either way, I’m glad they both tasted great! Thanks for stopping by my site, and I hope to talk to you again after next weekend’s recipe!

These look absolutely delicious! I’ve looked at everyone else’s Chocolate Chip cookie with Toasted Almonds, and they all look rather flat.
Do you know how yours ended up thicker and not spread much?
